The GTR is really a 'Velvet glove,Iron fist' type car.The car showed dominance beyond belief in the Australian touring car championships in the 1990 - 1993 blowing away all competition.The traditional 'Aussie V8' mentality lead to the eventual downfall of the GTR from the touring car scene.
The RB26DETT engine was developed using the latest technology and it was made to perform. It is not unheard of in Japan for GTR's to be pushing out close to 1000bhp and these are street cars.
